We met our first week of college at a PhiPsi-AOII party. A couple months later we reconnected, and had our first date at walgreens (it was magical).
We started 2009 on an interesting note, breaking into our college dorm to ring in the new year. More importantly, we said "I love you" for the very first time. ♥
In 2010 we took our first trip together (Chicago). We also travled to Mexico with our best friends and discovered our love for coastal living.
By 2011, we were both exploring the O-street bar scene in Lincoln as well as discovering our love of Pickleman's Italian Chop salad (usually enjoyed around 2am).
Graduation brought us to careers in two different cities. We took advantage of the best that both Lincoln and Omaha had to offer. This often meant enjoying Dundee and pretending to still be college students in Lincoln.
We bought our first home! This served as an extremely important part of our life, as we finally were starting our lives together. Walking distance from local Aksarben shops & our new neighborhood bar, Tracks, we couldn't be happier.
Our taste for the coastal life got the better of us, as we packed up and moved out to California. We spent our days soaking up the west coast lifestyle and made many great friends along the way, including a new "little" friend named Ruby. 🐶
We continued to enjoy California, now in Huntington Beach. One of the most memorable trips was to Big Bear where we enjoyed a relaxing step back from the "busy" SoCal lifestyle. Not long after, we got engaged and celebrated with a day of beachside mimosas & sushi.
We made another big move, this time back to KC, and bought our second home. We also gained a deep appreciation for the work involved in caring for a total of 18 trees.
